Designed by Mark Browning Landscape Design in 2008 / 2009. Constructed by Kiama Landscapes and Pools in 2010.
The landscape design process commenced in October 2008, with final drawings and accompanying documentation completed by September 2009. Construction of the project was completed just in time for summer in December 2010.
The house itself is modern is typical of suburban Ashburton, having been renovated a couple of times during the 80s and 90s, however little work had bee undertaken in the garden for many years. With a maturing family our brief came to us referred by a business associate with a brief to design a pool, a pool house and totally rework the garden around.
Mark Browning Landscape Design design a pool and spa area including a covered pool pavilion that could provide year round sanctuary. Our clients wanted to be able to enjoy their garden year round. With a coplete understanding of pools, children and toiletry habits, our clients requested a bathroom and changing room be included as part of the pool house and also requsted that both the spa and pool have retractable cover systems - quite a challenge given the pool ran to the boudary and the spa was 750mm abover the level of the pool.
Mark Browning Landscape Design worked with both the clients and Kiama Landscapes and Pools to create an amazing resort in this modest backyard. Kiama's attention to detail and ability to resolve site and technical difficulties that arose could not be faulted.
